Tom Dowd - Owner, Founder and CEO
Tom has 41 years of sales, marketing, and management experience in the chemical distribution business. He graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Business Management, and earned a Masters degree in Business Administration. He is a founder of Alliance Partners which provides leadership development and fundraising assistance to non-profit organizations. Tom and his wife Josie live in Alamo, California and have three children and nine grandchildren. Tom enjoys spending time with his family as well as boating, skiing and golf.
Howard Guild - Owner, Founder and President
Howard has 36 years of sales, marketing, and management experience in the chemical distribution business. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Howard and his wife Judy live in Alamo, California. They are actively involved with the NORCAL Golden Retriever Rescue organization. Howard enjoys boating, skiing and golf
Tina Onderbeke - Executive Vice President and Partner
Tina is one of the founding members of Dowd and Guild Inc. and has held positions as Office Manager, Inside & Outside Sales. In 1996, she was promoted to VP of Administration and became Executive Vice President in May of 2007.Tina has 35 years of experience in sales and administrative management in the chemical distribution industry. Tina and her husband Clint live in Pleasanton, California
Patrick Kelly - Vice President and Partner
Patrick is Vice President and has responsibility for Account Management for key accounts in Northern and Southern California. Pat has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He also has responsibility for principal management and recruitment. Pat is an experienced executive in the distribution industry and has held various management and executive positions. Pat lives in Danville, California with his wife, Lynda, and their three children.
Tim Fetters - Vice President and Partner
Tim is responsible for managing principals and Key Account Management in Southern California. Tim graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He also has responsibility for principal recruitment. He is an experienced executive whose career spans sales, operations and executive management in the chemicals and plastics industry. He lives in Ladera Ranch, California with his wife, Carissa, and their two children.
Jeff Moore - Senior Account Manager
Jeff is responsible for accounts in Southern California and Arizona. Jeff was a Sales Executive, Sales Manager and District Manager for Ashland Chemical in Los Angeles, CA and Portland, OR. He has worked for various other companies managing specialty chemical distribution operations in South East Asia, namely: Connell Bros., Zuellig Industrial, DKSH and Manuchar. He graduated with a B.S. in Marketing from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in Colorado and attended the Kellogg & Wharton International Masters of Management Program in Bangkok, Thailand.
Steve O’Donnell - Account Manager
Steve is responsible for accounts in Southern California and Arizona. Steve formerly ran his own distribution business which he sold to Dowd and Guild 1992. Steve is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Liberal Arts degree. He lives in Placentia, California with his wife, Donna
Nick Motto - Account Manager
Nick is responsible for covering accounts in the Pacific Northwest, Northern California and Northern Nevada. Nick graduated from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Nick and his wife, Gail, have three children and live in Elk Grove, California.
Dick Wildman - Account Manager & Inside Sales
Dick is responsible for select accounts in Northern California, Southern California and Arizona. Dick is also responsible for Inside Sales, financial analysis, marketing and special projects for Dowd and Guild Inc. He graduated from St. Mary’s College with a Master’s degree in Business Administration and University of California Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Dick lives in Alamo, California.
Tim Ewton - Account Manager
Tim Ewton is responsible for accounts in the South Western region, specifically northern Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas & Colorado. Tim has been in the Chemical Industry since graduating from East Texas State University. He began his career at an automotive chemical packaging company gaining experience in the procurement of chemicals and packaging components, formulating and batch processing, scheduling, sales and much more.In 2008, Tim began selling commodity chemicals to a variety of applications which evolved into selling specialty chemicals for the CASE markets. Tim and his family live in Ovilla, TX.
Richard Nighswonger - Account Manager
Richard Nighwonger is responsible for accounts in Southern California and Utah. He has an extensive background in adhesive and chemical sales having worked for manufacturers as well as distribution selling to markets including CASE, Composites, Personal Care, and Pharmaceutical. Richard graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry. He resides in Seal Beach, California with his wife Tish and their children.
